Being a Christian is hard!
There is no perfect Christian.
Every day we can all fall short.
No matter the amount of time a person has been following Christ it can happen.
Meaning, you and I can be tempted and experience a moment to not live up to God’s standard.
However, once you place your complete trust to follow God He will lead you every step of the way.
Actually, this makes me think of Paul!
Prior to following Christ, Paul lived a life completely different than a follower of Christ.
In fact, God changed his name from Saul to Paul due to Paul’s well-known lifestyle of persecuting, killing Christians. (Acts 9)
Though Paul’s life changed, I am confident he was faced with constant criticism from those a part or not involved within the church community.
Yet, Paul continued to perform many great acts in ministry while still battling something spiritually.
“Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away.”
2 Corinthians 12:8 NLT
Is there something you are battling?
Are you faced with constant reminders of your past?
Like Paul I want you to know that you no longer have to accept your past in your present.
You can still be used by God for kingdom purposes!
As a matter of fact, there’s a specific song I want you to listen to anytime something negative tries to remind you of who you were prior to Christ called Distance by Cortes.
Allow God to be your strength.
“Each time he said,
“My grace is all you need.
My power works best in weakness.”
So now I am glad to boast
about my weaknesses,
so that the power of Christ
can work through me.”
2 Corinthians 12:9 NLT
Anything you need God has!
Seek Him. Trust Him. Wait For Him. Depend On Him!
God will always come through to help you overcome anything, and that’s a promise!
