What is one of your favorite Bible stories?
Is it Noah’s Ark? David And Goliath?
What is a Bible story that makes you go “Now, that’s a good ending!”?
It is kinda hard to pick, right?
The Bible is filled with so many mind blowing miracles of God’s faithfulness where it is too hard to choose even a few!
However, if I had to pick a favorite Bible story I would select: Jesus Heals A Man Born Blind .
Let me give you a little background😃
After Jesus helped a woman and himself escape angry crowds, Jesus was walking when he saw a man who was born blind.
Jesus’ disciples asked him if the man was blind due to something the man or his parents could have done.
His reply was,
“It was not because of his sins or his parents’ sins,” … “This happened so the power of God could be seen in him.”
John 1:9 NLT
Not too soon after Jesus spat on the ground, spread the mud on the blind man’s eyes, and told the blind man, Go wash yourself in the pool of Siloam” (Siloam means “sent”).
So the man went and washed and came back seeing.
The once blind man did as Jesus instructed him to do, which was to share his testimony with others.
In this specific story, Jesus literally made a messy situation turn into a message for someone.
What I love most about this story is that there are still miracles like this happening today!
God still has all the power to turn any messy situation into a message.
In fact, if I can be transparent, He did it for me.
For over twenty years, I secretly battled addiction to masturbation, sex, and pornography.
My vision of love was distorted.
It wasn’t until I had an encounter with God where he turned my once blindness into purpose.
Now, I choose to share to help others do the same.
What about you, Honey Bunches?
You, too, have a message.
You, too, have the ability to share something that God has done for you to help someone.
I believe what you go through is not simply for you.
You are a reflection of Jesus to the world!
The very things that God allows you to overcome is for others to also experience the power of God.
